Here's a quick checklist that we run through on each of the sites we develop at Digital Church Marketing. We suggest that you do an annual audit of each of these items to make sure they are still functioning correctly.

Connect your website to Google Search Console
Connect your website to Bing Webmaster Tools
Connect your website to Google Analytics
Connect your website to Google Tag Manager
Verify that your XML Sitemap is setup correctly
Add a link to the XML Sitemap in your copyright footer
Include your most important site links in your footer widget area
Check your robots.txt file to be sure it is allowing search engines to index your site
Test your website speed
Customize your 404 Page
Check the SSL Status of your site
